By the time most
of us are past the age of 35 we have discovered some of the
secrets of life:
◊ Life is
a journey
◊
The journey
is the destination
◊
We are not as
prepared for this
journey as we’d like to be.
◊
The only thing
that stays the same
is change
So what do we need
to prepare for this journey?
◊
A Guide
◊
A Map
◊
A Direction

Information
If we’re lucky our guide will
provide the information, help us find our sense of direction,
and teach us how to create our own map. Without that guide we
usually find ourselves moving in circles as fast as we can.
If you’ve found this site
you’re likely searching for help in making some kind of change
in your life. Regardless of whether or not it’s a small change
or a major one – change is difficult. We’re very busy, we’re
tired, and we’re spread too thin. Making any change takes energy
we don’t always have. We have a hard time finding a place to
begin and it’s almost impossible to sustain it. We find
ourselves in uncharted territory.
One thing we want to remember as
we begin to explore change is that we can’t isolate any
particular change from the rest of who we are any more than we
can isolate our physical wellbeing from our mental/emotional
wellbeing.
Frequently it is in mid-life that
we are surprised or even shocked by a strong urge to make major
changes in our lives. While some cultures still celebrate life’s
markers: birth, adolescence, marriage, mid-life, and death; ours
celebrates birth and marriage, fears death, ignores adolescence,
and denies or ridicules one of the most important markers;
mid-life or second half of life. These are the
years that bring us to wisdom, teach us to let go, and allow us
to mature spiritually. When we deny or ignore the inherent
changes that come at this time in life we waste a precious gift
– the joy, depth, lessons, and freedom that are ours when we are
able to see and live what is rather than how we
would like it to be. The truth is this is the time our Souls
wake up and begin to speak.
Take some time
to explore this site and answer the questions you'll find on
each page. If you decide you'd like to work with me as your
guide/coach
email me with your phone number, a day of the week to
contact you, and and a brief description of the change you are
exploring. Be sure to include your responses to the questions. I
will call you to set up a complimentary 30 minute coaching
session and together we'll determine if we are to work together
on guiding you through the change you are seeking.
